Upholstery Cleaning Melbourne
UPHOLSTERY FAQ'S
How long does your upholstery cleaning take to dry?
Typically, upholstery cleaned by your local Chem-Dry Metro technician's will be dry and ready to use in 3-4 hours. Drying time however, depends on the fabric, construction, ventilation, humidity and cleaning required. Our controlled-moisture process is designed to avoid unnecessary saturation. We provide an estimated drying time and aftercare advice once the service is complete.
Is your upholstery cleaning safe for children & pets?
Yes. Approved by Ecologo and the EPA's Safer choice program, our upholstery cleaning is non-toxic and safe for children and pets.
Can you remove stains from a fabric sofa?
Many food, drink, body-oil and everyday stains can be improved or removed. Results depend on the fabric, stain type, age and previous cleaning attempts. We test the upholstery before treatment and explain any risk of colour loss, watermarks or permanent damage. We have been professionally cleaning and removing stains from fabric upholstery for 20+ years.
Can all upholstery fabrics be cleaned?
Most upholstery can be professionally cleaned, but different fibres and constructions require different methods. Delicate fabrics, unstable dyes and certain fillings need extra care. We inspect the manufacturer’s label and perform testing before proceeding.
Does couch cleaning remove pet smells?
Cleaning can remove general pet soil and mild odours, but urine that has penetrated fabric, foam or framing may require specialised treatment. We assess the affected areas and explain whether cleaning, deodorisation or more extensive decontamination is required.
Can you clean desk chairs and office chairs?
Yes. We clean desk chairs, office chairs, boardroom chairs, waiting-room seating, fabric dining chairs, ottomans, foot rests, bar stools and other upholstered furniture. Services are available for Melbourne homes, offices, medical practices, restaurants and commercial premises.
